What To Bring ✅

Weather appropriate clothing

Please dress for all weather conditions and expect to get very wet. It can feel much colder on the water than on land and conditions can change quickly. Warm, waterproof clothing is strongly recommended and waterproofs are available to borrow if required.

For our sea trips, you should expect to get wet unless conditions are exceptionally calm. Harbour and river tours are generally drier, although spray and rain are still possible.

Sun Glasses / Sun Screen

Sunscreen and sun glasses are strongly recommended in all conditions due to increased exposure and reflection from the water.

Medication if required

Please ensure you bring any essential medication you may require during the trip, including inhalers, EpiPens or travel sickness medication. Any medical conditions that may affect your safety on board should be made known to the crew before departure.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding medical conditions, injuries or medications, please contact us before booking so we can advise on suitability and safety for the trip.

Spare change of clothes

You are likely to get wet on our sea-going trips. A change of clothes is advised.

Waterproof Phone Pouch

We strongly recommend bringing a waterproof phone pouch to help protect phones and valuables from spray and wet conditions. We do have a very limited number available to borrow, but these cannot be guaranteed.

Avoid Bringing ❌

Kilts / Dresses / Skirts

Please avoid kilts, dresses or skirts as lifejackets include a safety strap that must fit securely between the legs. Shorts or trousers are strongly recommended.

Loose Hats / Clothing

Please don’t bring any items of clothing such as hats that you cannot secure to yourself or could become loose at high speeds.

Large bags / luggage / bulky items

Large bags, suitcases, and bulky items cannot be brought onboard due to limited space on the vessel. Small bags may be carried at your own risk if they can be safely secured during the trip. We also have a small amount of storage space available in our trailer for bags and personal belongings while you are out on the water.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are not permitted onboard due to safety reasons and the high winds experienced during trips. We recommend bringing a waterproof coat or suitable weather appropriate clothing instead.

Conditions can vary significantly and can change whilst at sea

All trips are weather dependant

The ride can be physically intense at times

Sea Sickness

Seasickness can affect anyone, even if you have never experienced it before. If you are concerned about being seasick, we recommend doing your own research and considering a suitable seasickness medication before the trip, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Some medications can cause drowsiness, so make sure you check that they are suitable for you.

If you are particularly worried about seasickness, please contact us before your trip and we will be happy to discuss it with you. Our crew can help and support you if you become seasick, but we cannot prevent or cure it once it starts.

Safety Information

All passengers must be able to sit in their own seat, unaided and able to hold on with two hands. We don’t permit those aged 4 and under due to this.

Seagoing Trips Only – We cannot take anyone with significant back problems or pregnant woman

If you have a medical condition and you are unsure if you can do this trip, first speak to your Doctor. Then, speak to us.

If weather / sea conditions become unsuitable we may have to return to port.

We reserve the right to refuse boarding or remove any passenger who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behaviour is considered unsafe or likely to put themselves, other passengers, or crew at risk. This is in line with the skipper’s legal responsibility for the safety of the vessel and all persons onboard.

Weather / Cancellations

If we have to cancel this trip due to weather or other reasons you will be offered the choice of re-booking a new date or a full refund.

It is not financially viable for us to operate with fewer than 4 passengers – if we don’t have this number on your trip we will get in touch to see if we can move you to a different time or offer your a refund. We appreciate your understanding with this.
